‘Oberon’ by Canadian hardcore punks Fucked Up sees them reveling in downtuned, sludgy riffs and a heavy-as-an-oil tanker rhythm section. They throw in a surprise by covering French composer Camille Saint-Saens' ‘The Aquarium’ too. This is the kind of bludgeoning heaviness usually reserved for the likes of Noothgrush and Bloodlet, but it has to be said, Fucked Up seem very comfortable here.
